UBC Centre for Brain Health “puts science on display”

The Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health research facility at UBC is an extensive project totalling 135,000 square feet that is distributed within two glass boxes that are joined by a central atrium.

The glass-encased building “puts science on display” however, the effect is counter-balanced with glass sliding doors and glass partitions by Phoenix Glass which enclose clinical areas to maintain patient privacy. Further enhancing the glass-box effect, are four levels of frameless railings of tempered laminated glass which was supplied and installed by Phoenix Glass with stainless steel fitting stand-offs.
