TransLink Capstan Skytrain Station
Award-winning panel systems for Capstan SkyTrain station
Phoenix Glass proudly delivered our proprietary interior and exterior aluminum composite metal (ACM) panel systems and structural architectural louver solutions for the new Capstan TransLink station, a key addition to Richmond’s expanding Canada Line network. Serving the growing Capstan Village—a vibrant urban mixed-use district—the station represents a modern, forward-thinking approach to transit infrastructure and city planning.
This highly complex project involved challenging geometries, sloped elevations, and intricate alignment requirements across multiple surfaces. Our scope included ACM cladding for elevator shafts, high ceilings, and overlapping stair and escalator areas, as well as panels installed directly above active SkyTrain tracks—demanding both precision and advanced installation techniques.
Phoenix Glass was honoured with a 2024 VRCA Award for excellence in executing this work under tight constraints. Our team overcame restricted work zones, completed specialized limits of approach training, and maintained seamless coordination with the operational SkyTrain schedule—delivering high-quality results under demanding conditions.
