The Lightworks Building
Reimagined art deco building attracts the creative class
Restored from a 1940’s art deco façade, The Lightworks Building is one of Vancouver’s newest neighbourhood centres for creative businesses and workers. The original industrial building was designed by architect H.H. Simmonds, who also design Vancouver’s iconic Vogue and Stanley theatres.
The newly reimagined building maintained its classic decorative main level, balanced with a modern six storey addition to create a total of 54,000 sq ft of commercial space. Phoenix Glass is proud to have contributed to this project by manufacturing and supplying structural silicone glazed curtain wall, aluminum composite panels, glass canopies and entry doors.
