Newly expanded school brings learning into the 21st century
In partnership with the Government of BC, Kitsilano Secondary School’s 1927 heritage building is in the midst of completing a major renovation and seismic upgrade. With an estimated $62.2 million price tag, the approx 18,000 sq ft renewal project includes a new academic wing, three gymnasiums, a 350-seat theatre and green space for student learning — featuring oversized glass windows to allow abundant natural light into the spaces. Designed to LEED Gold equivalency, this showcase of design will benefit the community for decades to come.
