Creative glass artwork is the centrepiece of Lynn Valley Village

Long known for a bustling art scene, Lynn Valley has been home to artists for over a hundred years including Frederick Varley, a member of Canada’s famed Group of Seven. It’s no wonder then that a spectacular art installation would be focal point of the Lynn Valley Library, located in Lynn Valley Village.

The printed artwork by visual artists Jacqueline Metz and Nancy Chew is a hanging glass structure supplied and installed by Phoenix Glass. This site-specific artwork entitled ‘arboreus, after Rodchenko’ references a tall cedar, homage to the area’s landscape and logging history.  The piece is also a representation of the artists’ concepts of reality and imagination.
